Random Thoughts of the Day: Driving Miss Daisy

how come some people dont like driving on the left lane? i dont get it. sometimes the left lane is faster than the middle lane. kenapa? is there any rules about the left lane that i dont know? (excuse me, i actually have to take the computer test twice, so you can just imagine how clueless i can be about those rules. *blush*) or was it sebab tak cool duduk lane kiri? sebab malu tak cool? well listen to this, duduk lane tengah with 30km/h (izajerit), kena potong dengan lorries and buses from the left lane, tak malu ke? and please lah jangan buat muka tak bersalah/konon cool when people potong and stare at you from the left lane. WE DONT STARE BECAUSE WE THINK YOU'RE COOL!

p/s: if THERE IS some rules out there about the left lane that i dont know, please fill me in. as far as i am concerned, they said "ikut kiri kecuali memotong". so i just assumed.

toodles!

Highlight of The Day: Tongue, Newspaper & Roti Canai

I was snoozing while deciding whether i should skip work this morning. its my last day and i was already in my "permanent holiday" mood. So there i was still snoozing and after a couple of snoozes i decided to get to the other side of the bed (i usually sleep on the left side). so then i went back to la la land and i had a dream. a weird short dream i must say. i dreamt that i cruelly bite my own tongue. it hurts as if it was real, and then SNAP! i woke up. and it wasnt a dream! can you imagine someone bit her own tongue, while sleeping! how dumb was that? sheesh. talk about waking up on the wrong side of the bed.

so as we (me and my mom) arrived at klcc, we went for breakfast. roti canai at the usual spot. heres the thing, my mom likes to "book" her place before she went food hunting. so this time, she left her paper, handbag and her daughter (me) at the table while she go get the roti canai. she told me to come get the food when shes done paying. so i did, i waited and just as shes about to pay i took her handbag and go over to get the food. and left our papers as a marking. and to our surprise, when we get back, one couple already took our table and they "kindly" moved our papers to a table next to it. wth? i mean not that i mind, but whats wrong with other tables? its 8.00 am and the place is practically empty! we can all take one table each and the place will still look empty. why so "rajin" to move things just to sit on that table? and its not like the place got pretty views anyway. i just dont get it!

and the best part is.... that wasnt the first time it happened. the previous time was even more rude! the couple was sitting at our table WITH our papers and the guy was reading it. okay maybe they thought someone left their papers there because they didnt want it. but i came to them and i said "excuse me" and "sorry" and took the other available paper, and they stare at me like im some kind of a hooligan or something. i mean come on dont be so naive, im not gonna come up to someone and take the paper on their table unless its mine. so me and my mom just sat at the table next to theirs (previously ours) with only one paper since the other one was taken by the guy. to cut things short, just a while after theyre done eating they left, with our paper. now isnt that nice.

see i dont know whats wrong with these people and tables. but its just weird! i dont get it.

Thought of the Day

A man really shouldn't get intimidated by a women "they think" is a little bit out of their league just because she seems, well off. He should take it as a challenge to become better. Instead of dissing her and calling her inappropriate names and telling all his "homeboys" she's a "high maintenance" bimbo just because she seems a little less friendlier than others.

(this is not based on a real life experience thanks)

3 Things I Am Ridiculously Afraid Of. And Theres A Definite Good Reason For It!

one. Height well im actually afraid of falling. so height it is. it all started in melaka. one very fine night, i was standing on my chair, trying to stuff my dirty laundry (woops!) into my luggage on top of my "gobok" (that was the time when i was still getting used to all the "basuh baju sendiri" stuff. later i wash my own clothes with my not-so-bare hands just like everybody else okay! just so we're clear. LOL). so i guess ive been stuffing too much i had to push harder to get all the clothes in. and so i fell. it didnt hurt at first. i was just shocked. then part of my legs turn purple. and that hurts.

two. Bowling. i used to love bowling with my dad. it was his favorite sport before golf. one day, he took me bowling somewhere in damansara. i cant remember the name of the club. it was just me and him that day. it was weekdays so the place is not really that packed. just a couple of old people and a group of "cool kids". so i was doing okay. UNTIL! the ball slipped and went the opposite way. backwards. i dont know if its normal. but i was embarrased! almost everybody laughed. the "cool kids", MY DAD! it was embarassing. i never bowl again ever since.

three.
Buses or anything similar in size. i can get pretty annoying in the car when theres buses or lorries around. i will go "omigod! omigod! omigod!" which is annoying to some people, or i will stay behind the bus no matter how slow they are just because im afraid to overtake them and have them tailgating me. well it all started about 2-3 years ago. i was driving alone. i stopped at a roundabout and a rapid kl hit the back of my car. the damage is not that severe but it was shocking and scary because i was actually looking at the rear view mirror when the bus crushed my car. so today whenever i see a bus or a lorry behind me, i will be alarmed.

Sunday Morning Rage.

1. I decided not to join my family at the kampung because i have some errands to do. But they didnt carpool and took all the car. So whats the point?

2. I overslept and missed the chance to watch thrill the world shah alam 2009! Bummer!

3. I texted sha to ask how the event went and she told me to come to pelita if i wanted to be surrounded by zombies. but i dont have car! Double bummer!!!!

My sunday morning is ruined.

Sunday Morning Doodles

5 reasons why I can't be anyone's girlfriend, why I shouldn't be anyone's girlfriend, why YOU don't want me to be your girlfriend. (Well, for now. I don't mean it in a ridiculous, paranoid way. And no pun intended ;p)

1.
Im useless in the kitchen. Well not entirely useless. I can do the dishes. LOL. But never, i repeat, NEVER ask me to cook. I suck at it. BIG time!

2. Im a home person. I don't go out much. And I HATE being in the middle of the crowd especially when its hot and everyone is sweating. So that means less 'dating' hours. LOL.

3. Most of the time I don't answer my phone because most of the time I have no idea where my phone is. Weird? Some people cant live without their phone. Not me. I dont carry them around everywhere I go. And most of the time I left them in silent mode. AND I barely return any calls. So less 'bergayut' hours.

4. Everyday is PMS-day. With me, there's no telling when I will explode. Im sensitive and easily annoyed, period!

5. I listen to sappy, classical music.
So an hour on the road with me might seems like a week of torments to you. LOL.

So that's that. 5 things that reflects the boring-ness in me. Well if anyone can change me from the 5 above, well maybe I should be your girlfriend. hahaha!

Loves! ;)
